What we look for.
Minimum requirements
- Application & $50 fee
- Equivalent of a U.S. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Official transcripts from all post secondary (college or University) attended both in one’s native language and officially translated into English. All academic credentials must be sealed, stamped/attested by a school official (Registrar, Principal or Controller of Exams) and sent directly from the institution.
- Demonstrated English proficiency
- Additional program-specific requirements and deadlines
Financial documentation – seeking F or J visa status only- If available, copy of your passport identification page
All credentials submitted to International Admissions become property of Old Dominion University, and cannot be returned.
Old Dominion University adheres to strict application deadlines. A complete application and supporting credentials must be received by the stated deadline, or consideration will be applied to the next available term.
Students who apply before completion of undergraduate work may be conditionally admitted pending completion of the bachelor's degree.
Students whose backgrounds are judged to be deficient in any specific area of study or whose undergraduate grades are below the required average may be asked to take one or more courses at the undergraduate level. No graduate credit is given for these courses.
